I decided to expand my business into the area of personal assistance largely because I saw a need. Often when I help someone with organizing, particularly, over a longer period of time, I find myself being asked if I can help with more regular daily living activities, e.g., changing light bulbs, packing up seasonal decor, taking out trash, etc. I enjoy doing helpful tasks and have plenty of experience with the “chores” of regular living so am always happy to help. However, I’ve noticed that clients are sometimes uncomfortable asking. I have been told they aren’t sure whether such tasks fall into the realm of organizing. I am hoping that by officially extending the services I offer, it will remove anxiety on the part of my organizing clients and allow me to add clientele and help a wider range of people with slightly different needs.
